Relationship Between Green Tea And Weight Loss

Every person conscious of their appearance would want to do away with the heftiness that they got. Others will do it for clinical reasons maybe an illness. The debate on whether the intake of green tea leads to a decrease in body mass has been on for quite a long time.

To come up with conclusions we need to know of certain important elements that make up this beverage herb, how they relate to the body functions and if we only need a daily pot of green tea, consume everything we may wish, sit back and relax and then the anticipated body shape and tone comes miraculously.

Green tea is a natural anti-oxidant. It contains compounds called catechins which are great essentials to the body. An example is the epigallocatechin gallate. This anti-oxidant affects the way the body burns fat to generate heat. It is known that the body is able to generate its own heat through different metabolic processes. What this anti-oxidant does is that it increases the rate of metabolism. This in turn leads to an increased rate of the body burning fat. Conclusion: A person taking green tea in his daily diet has an upper hand when it comes to doing away with their unwanted kilos that they carry. This is because his metabolic rate is boosted by Epigallocatechin gallate present in green tea.

This compound also regulates the rate at which sugar/glucose is absorbed in the blood stream. High concentrations of sugar in the blood poses a challenge to the person in that they feel hungry all the time. They have an increased crave for high calorie food.

Catechins present in green tea regulate the insulin level in the blood by checking the amount of sugar that enters it. Low sugar translates to low appetite and less food is eaten. In turn the body metabolizes the stored fats to produce heat. The effect is a considerable decrease in the size of the person. Although taking green tea leads to a decrease in body size, it should be taken to account that the herb contains caffeine. Excessive caffeine content in the body can lead up to other complications like nervousness and insomnia. The combination of these two sometimes may lead to increased crave for food. The person eats more and ends up acquiring extra mass. This contradicts the first reason of taking green tea which is

A blend of green tea, ginger and olive leaf is known to enhance weight loss. The green tea is known to check any irregular constriction of blood vessels. This ensures a smooth flow of blood. The ginger and olive leaf checks blood pressure. A combination of the three will lead to enhanced cardiovascular functioning which is necessary for quick loss weight.

Taking tea tree alone does not lead to that anticipated weightloss. It has to be combined with good eating habits and a regular exercise if a quick weight loss is to be achieved. If a person consumes more fats than the body can metabolize just because they are taking green tea in their diet, then the goal of losing weight will not be achieved.

Green tea is good for a person aspiring to shed off their extra mass. The person using it should also know that the beverage alone will not take away the extra kilos but a little effort of eating right and some exercise are required for a quick loss weight.
